A German-American writer-director who works between Los Angeles and Munich, across film and television, in both English and German.
His films tend to put ordinary people into outsized situations and stay with the small, real feelings underneath. The work runs across romantic comedy, thriller, and fantasy, for Apple TV+, Netflix, and Warner Bros. He wrote and directed Momo, the English-language adaptation of Michael Ende's novel, starring Martin Freeman; directed the Apple TV+ mystery-comedy Where's Wanda; and created, wrote, and showran the Netflix series Biohackers. He trained at the University of Television and Film Munich.
